What is a donor-funded project audit?
An audit of EU or international donor-funded projects is an independent verification of how allocated financial resources have been used, in line with donor requirements (EU, UNDP, USAID, SDC, etc.) and applicable international standards.
In most cases, this audit is mandatory for expense reimbursement and project closure, ensuring compliance with the approved budget, eligibility of expenditures, and adherence to the terms of the funding agreement.
