What is an Audit under NAS?

An audit under NAS is an independent and objective verification of a company’s financial statements, conducted in accordance with the National Accounting Standards (NAS), International Standards on Auditing (ISA), and the legal requirements of the Republic of Moldova.

Mandatory Audit under NAS

An audit under NAS is mandatory for certain categories of entities — such as public interest entities, companies regulated by the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) and the National Commission for Financial Markets (NCFM), large enterprises, and major taxpayers, in accordance with Moldovan legislation.

Voluntary Audit for Transparency and Trust
